Soccer Season

What a fun soccer season we have had! Allie is now in a new age bracket and it is such a blast to watch her and her teammates play. They work together and the result is a game that actually looks like soccer is supposed to. The best part of all has been the weather. The Spring season this year stunk! The weather was miserable for virtually every game. This fall has been picture perfect for every single game. Allie we are proud of you for practicing and improving your play. Way to go!

Hasta la vista soccer!

Well, Spring in Utah this year totally STINKS! One of the greatest casualties for our family has been Spring soccer. Tonight was Allie's last game and I was hoping she would try and talk me out of making her go. Come to find out she was lured into going by the memory of receiving a medal at the final game last year. When it was time for the game to start, the other team still hadn't shown up (yay!) but they showed up as we were walking back to our cars (boo!). Allie & I took a wool blanket, a down quilt, and a nice big blanket to bundle up in. This was in addition to the coats, gloves, and hats that we were wearing. As I dragged our load out of the car I began to question my level of intelligence. Seriously, who does this? Apparently a lot of us do 'cause there sure were a lot of cars in the parking lot. And, for the record, Allie did indeed receive a medal at the conclusion of the game.

On a much happier note, tomorrow and Friday I am attending BYU Women's Conference...and Eric has graciously agreed to hold down the fort. I am looking forward to being inspired, uplifted, and enlightened.

Our Lady Bug is now a Pink Panther

That's right. It's soccer season again. Allie's team name was inspired by the very pink color of their uniforms. For the next month much of our after school time will be spent at the soccer complex. Allie now plays on the U8 level which is for 2nd and 3rd graders. It is much more competitive and a little less "innocent". I miss that a little bit. It is so much fun to watch little ones stumble around the field. Maybe we'll get to watch Landon learn in a couple of years? We know that he likes watching sports on TV with his Daddy. For now he is content to sit on the sidelines and snuggle with his Mom which makes me happy.
